Oyster mushrooms, members of the Pleurotus genus, are a group of gilled mushrooms prized for both their gourmet culinary applications as well as their "superfood" nutrient profile. There are around 40 unique types of oyster mushrooms, including Pleurotus djamor. The oyster mushroom is widespread in many temperate and subtropical forests throughout the world. *Please note that our grow block is an all-in-one kit, (requiring only a live liquid mycelium culture), whereas our substrate will require you to create a separate colonized grain spawn first. • Use FOREST GOLD GROW BLOCK or FOREST GOLD HARDWOOD SUBSTRATE for all clear/white-tipped syringes. All “FOREST GOLD” products are designed for hardwood-loving mushroom varieties. “FOREST GOLD” products will come in white packaging and will be clearly labeled for use with clear/white-tipped syringe specimens.
